A lovely relaxing week in France was had by all. The fishing was quite tuff but October sunshine and chance to relax for a week helps.

Ed was top rod and took the Carrbrook angling Challenge trophy with a cracking 42lb’er. Yours truly was a pound behind with a 41lb’er which smashed my pb by 8lbs.Shaun caught most fish and showed some impressive stalking skills taking large carp from a snaggy little corner.Everyone caught fish and plenty of 30’s were shared between the lads so it can hardly be described as a bad week !

We all had a go at populars lake above the main lake for some fun fishing and lots of smaller carp were landed with Keiron being top rod on there.Club member Keith Jones is on the lake this week and has caught a 51lb and a 53lb monster so a massive well done to him.

Back on the domestic front and we had our bio mass survey done by the EA yesterday on Rainwater. It was good news for the club as they were happy with the condition and mix of the stock and told us we had a well balanced fishery.
