Not been too much to post the last couple of months with the winter freeze pretty much shutting up the lakes.

You can usually find a clear area on Rainwater 2 (diggle) next to the inlet and I can tell you by personal experience that fish can be caught from this clear spot even in the coldest conditions.

We have been keeping an eye on the iced up lakes and have broken the ice when we thought it was necessary and have monitored oxygen levels and I can report we are having no problems with the cold conditions.

Myself and Gary have been invited to attend an EA Fisheries Management course at Reaseheath College next weekend so the skills and knowledge we pick up from there can only benefit the club.

Hopefully we will see a prolonged mild spell soon and we can get back to the fishing !!
