There is a re arranged date for the work party that we called off due to snow and ice. The work party is now scheduled for 1st April and NO this is not an april fool !
The meeting venue is now set at Stamford Golf club for the 2nd Thursday of every month. We hope we now have a settled venue for our meetings and it’s a really nice venue to meet. The address is Oakfield House, Huddersfield Road Carrbrook, Stalybridge SK15 3PY
We have to abide by the golf clubs rules when using their facilities and this includes a no trainers or hats rule.
On the fishing front Shaun has been racking up the Carp catches, good to know they have woken from their winter sleep and he’s reported all the fish he has caught have been in fine condition. He’s also training his fishing dog to watch the water and spot the fish for him as pictured below.
Silverfish reports have been mixed with some reporting good sport but others have been struggling. It appears maggot has been the best bait for early season action.
